Recipe: Pea Soup

350 g Split peas
1 Large stick of celery diced
500 g Bacon bones
2 1/2 l Cold water
1 Large carrot diced
2 Sprigs of parsley chopped
1 Swede diced
Pepper
1 Medium onion diced
Place all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to boil. Cover and
simmer briskly for 2.5 hours.
At the end of cooking, remove the bones, strip any meat from the bones and
return it to the soup.
Because the the flavour and salt content of the bacon bones can vary,
adjust seasoning at the end of cooking
