Recipe: Diabetic Apple Crunch
Title: Diabetic Apple Crunch

Yield: 6 sweet ones
2 sl Dry bread; 3 c Apples; Cored sliced
1 tb Diet margarine; 1 tb Lemon juice;
1/2 ts Cinnamon; 3/4 c Dietetic maple syrup
1/2 ts Allspice;
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make crumbs from bread and toast in oven. Mix
toasted crumbs with margarine, cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon allspice. Mix
apples with lemon juice, maple syrup, and remainder of allspice; spread in
a well-greased shallow baking dish ( approximately 8" round). Cover with
crumb mixture; bake 45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm. Food
